‘The Walking Dead’ returned tonight after a midseason break to much anticipation. After setting its new record back in October during the Season 3 premiere for 10.9 million viewers, they have broken their own record again. Last night at 9 PM, The Walking Dead had 12.3 million viewers! AMC president Charlie Collier then released a statement.
“When you look at numbers like this, the first thing that comes to mind is how grateful we are to the fans of this show. They embrace The Walking Dead in a way that we wanted to believe was possible but we never take for granted. The cast and crew put everything they have into making this show. They’re a phenomenally talented group who truly give their all. We congratulate everyone involved.”
4.1 million viewers stayed tuned after the show ended for the discussion show ‘The Talking Dead’, meaning that the discussion show after the main events gets more viewers than some sitcoms on NBC and other major networks.
Catch the next episode of ‘The Walking Dead’, “Home’, next Sunday, February 17, 2013 on AMC at 9 PM.
